Summer 2010

We decided to spend the long weekend of April in a remote farm in Antipolo. The evening came by unnoticed. The night was warm and calm, a soft evening air breezing in occasionally. The night was dark with barely a few stars in sight. Nocturnal birds and insects have already started singing their songs. Having nothing to do during our first night, Ronick and I found ourselves slumped in a bamboo table right outside the hut. With Ronick on his guitar, the first chord got us collaborating on this unrehearsed cover of one of my favourite Filipino songs, Muli.

Thank you, Francis for this video.

A KPop Weekend at the Zoomanity Theme Parks with Asha and Fameus

KPop fans got up close with two Korean pop groups Asha and Fameus in a limited engagement at the Zoomanity theme parks. Fresh from their first major concert in the Philippines held at the Ynares Gym in Pasig the night before, Korean Pop groups Fameus and Asha visited Zoomanity Theme Parks – Paradizoo in Mendez, Cavite, and Residence Inn in Tagaytay on September 19, 2015.

The first stop of the two KPop bands and the whole entourage was at the Paradizoo in Mendez, Cavite. It was almost mid-day and the temperature was getting hot, the young artists didn’t look tired and they never complained. In fact, they had fun feeding the rabbits. The boys even had their photo taken with a five-legged cow! To the delight of the fans who have been waiting since morning, the boy band Fameus entertained the audience with a song number. And it was not just a song number, because they did their own cover of the song Na Sa’Yo na ang Lahat, to which the crowd sang along. Fameus and Asha also entertained a few questions from the fans. Guess what the boys love? Halo-Halo, and the chicken meals from a homegrown fastfood!

The second and final stop of the weekend tour was at the Residence Inn in Tagaytay. The fans have already anticipated their arrival. So upon alighting the coaster, fans can’t help but take photos of Asha girls and the Fameus boys. In no time, the open mini-theatre was quickly filled with fans. The group yet made another performance. This time, Fameus not only did one song, but two – both Filipino songs! How nice was that? They made a big effort to memorise and learn the songs just to entertain their fans! And to fully enjoy the weekend, Fameus and Asha tried one of the favourite rides at Residence Inn, the Zipline.

While fans were treated to a weekend of fun and KPop entertainment, Zoomanity Group is happy to announce that all teachers can avail of the free entrance to all Zoomanity Theme Parks namely Paradizoo (Mendez, Cavite), Residence Inn (Tagaytay), Zoobic Safari (SBMA), Zoocobia Fun Zoo (Clark), Zoocolate Hills (Loboc, Bohol), until October 15, 2015. Make sure to bring your ID.
