Greenfield City Hosts The First Ever Legion Run In The Philippines

legion-run-phI’m certain that most of you are already familiar with obstacle races, with each one of them creating a trademark of their own. What makes them different of distinguishable from the other? The number of obstacles? The difficulty level of each obstacle? The medal perhaps? And there could be many others.

Ignite Philippines is bringing an internationally branded race and a one-of-a-kind obstacle race to the country – the Legion Run. Known for its non-competitive nature, Legion Run is the first to be held in the Philippines and the second franchise of the race to be held in Asia.

Legion Run is a 5k event composed of at least 20 obstacles along the course. And these are not your common race obstacles. So if you think that it’s an easy 5k, well, I dare say THINK AGAIN! But more than having difficult obstacles, it’s the fun and the idea of winning over yourself that count a lot. And as what Legion Run is known for, there are surprises that all participants are up to! Be ready for the unexpected twists and turns as the race rolls on. To add to the excitement and the thrill, there will be elements of mud, fire, ice and even barbed wire along the race course, and participants are expected to hurdle those obstacles by jumping, climbing, crawling, and through team effort. I reckon that tickles your itching running feet by now!

Teri GarrLegion Run encourages individual runners to bring in their friends, families and teams to take part in a not-your-typical-obstacle-race. But whether you joining in alone, you won’t feel left out as some of the challenges will require you to team up with the others and get through to the next pit stop altogether. It’s also a perfect set-up for corporate team building activity. Sounds more interesting, yes?

And if you don’t have a team, no worries! You can create your own team, or you can join an existing team!

Finishers, called Legionnaires, are advised to celebrate their success with food and drinks, and lots of FUN at the Legion Run Festival Area.

It’s still a few months away, but an early bird catches a better registration fee!
