ActiveLife Chicago Physical Therapy Clinic Paves Way for New Approach to Pain Management

Athletes, sports enthusiasts and physically active individuals more prone to joint and muscular pains and injuries. As a runner and ultramarathoner, I have my share of these maladies since I got into the sport in 2011. Whilst these conditions aren’t life threatening, they’re the ones that hamper and even prevent me from training and joining races. And some point, the pain becomes too uncomfortable and unbearable that an immediate pain management is required.

Here in the Philippines, rarely you can find a medical facility or clinic that’s solely dedicated to pain management of the joint and various neuro-muscular pains. Most of us have gone through the hassle of braving the traffic when we go to the hospital for treatments, not to mention the cost of the treatment, the amount of time we have to wait on queue for our appointment with the doctor, and finally, a series of rehab sessions with a physical therapist.

Whilst there is a large number of licensed physical therapists in the country, we are all aware that there is a limited number of clinics focused on pain management. It is in this regard that Chicago-based Doctor of Physical Therapy Dr. Ron Samaniego moved to the Philippines and set up his own ActiveLife Chicago Physical Therapy Clinic to affect a better and positive change the way patients receive treatments.

Currently, ActiveLife Chicago Physical Therapy Clinics are located in Shaw, Alabang, Quezon City, Binondo and Nuvali, Sta. Rosa. These clinics are being put up in these strategic locations so that patients don’t have to endure the burden of the traffic just to get premium treatments.

Dr. Ron Samaniego graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy at the Fatima University. He then moved to United States in October 2002, and completed his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at Utica College in New York. He has been practising as a Doctor of Physical Therapy for 12 years.

Active Life Chicago PT treats various joint and neuro-muscular pains, knee pains, frozen shoulders, vestibular rehab for vertigo, among other services offered by the clinic.
