The 10-time PBA All Star and now coach Jeffrey Cariaso has made the right decision when he chose to return to Alaska Aces. Jeffrey Cariaso, known as The Jet, assumes the role of the Basketball Director for Alaska Basketball Power Camp, and Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA Philippines.

Jeff Cariaso was drafted by the then Alaska Milkmen during the 1995 PBA drafts as the sixth overall. He was awarded the Rookie of the Year in 1995, the same year that Alaska took home the Championship title in the Governor’s Cup. Two years in the league, Alaska Aces won the Grand Slam title in 1996, where he was also instrumental in the team’s winning in the championship series. He was named PBA All-Filipino Best Player of the Conference in 2002,and the Most Valuable Player during the PBA All-Filipino Finals in 2003.

Jeff explored for opportunities by joining other teams. In 2004 – 2005 PBA season, he was traded back into Alaska Aces. He played for Alaska Ace up until 2010. During the semi – finals of the PBA Fiesta Conference also that same year, he announced his retirement after playing for 15 seasons in the league. His jersey number 22 was also retired by the Alaska Aces.

Jeff Cariaso shifted into coaching in 2011 as assistant coach, and became a head coach in 2014.

This 2015, Jeffrey ‘The Jet’ Cariaso goes home as Basketball Director for Alaska Basketball Powercamp and Jr. NBA – Jr. WNBA Philippines presented by Alaska. As Director for Alaska Basketball Powercamp, Jeff Cariaso will be working with Coach Topex Robinson and Coach Rodney Santos, who is also a former Alaska Milkmen player. On the other hand, he will be working with Jr. NBA Coach Chris Sumner and the Jr. NBA-Jr. WNBA coaches for the Jr. NBA Philippines program.

Under these two programs, Jeff Cariaso and the coaching staff will work together to discover new potentials who have the right skill set and who possess the STAR values. These values are Sportsmanship, Teamwork, positive Attitude and Respect. These are the values that complement Alaska Milk’s Nutrition, Action, Champion program, which put emphasis on the important role of good nutrition among children for them to excel in sports, and in life in general.

Jeff Cariaso was recently appointed as Assistant Coach of the Alaska Aces Team.
