TNF 100 2013: Break All Boundaries

 So, here it is! The TNF 100, Philippine Edition is back!

I must say that this is one of the most anticipated races of the year.  And personally, the race that I am dying to go back to for just ONE reason:  to REDEEM myself from previous year’s unfinished business. I wasn’t able to make it to 75k cut-off point in 22 hours. This time, no matter what it takes, I’ll make it through to the finish line. DNF is NOT an option.

As early as December 2012, there had already been feelers about the race. Racers have looked forward to the date when the registration opens. And so, grab a copy of Total Fitness magazine January – February issue to avail of the 30% discount on registration fee.

100km Kilometer/Stage Cut Off Times

TNF 100 2013 will feature kilometer or stage cut offs.   Multi stage/kilometer cut-off is to ensure the safety and well-being of the participants. Below are the kilometers/stages with corresponding cut off times:

*Organizers can modify the race times and cut offs before and during the race depending on the conditions of the race course, weather and other safety considerations. Participants who fail to reach the cut off times will be transported back to the finish line.

Logistic Point (LP) and drop-off bag.

  • Participants have the option to turn over their drop off bag and supplies for the race on April 19, 2013, from 2pm to 6pm only at specially assigned counters near R.O.X. Camp John Hay .
  • Drop off bags and supplies must fit in one (1) large plastic bag to be provided by the organizer. Runners can access their drop-off bag at the Logistic point located at kilometer 50.
  • Organizers will transport the bags at LP after 6pm of April 19, and will return it at the finish line after the race.
  • Runners can reclaim their drop off bags until 3pm of April 20, 2013. Unclaimed drop-off bags after will be disposed of accordingly.

Race Briefing

Race briefing will be at R.O.X. Camp John Hay at 3pm, April 19, 2013.  Race course, logistic areas, hydration, gears, cut-off times will all be discussed here.  This will also give runners ample time to rest and secure mandatory equipment for the race.

Rules and Regulations

  • Organizers retain the right to modify the course, rules, and regulations, delay the start, hold any runners in the course or stop the race in the event of any weather disturbances or any unforeseen incidents in the race course. Any decisions made by the organizers are final.
  • Race numbers should be visible at all times.
  • Mandatory gears should be carried by the runner at all times during the race.  Random checks will be conducted by the organizers and a runner without the mandatory gears will not be allowed to proceed with the race until the missing item is replaced.
  • Time penalties may be imposed by the race organizers on runners who do not follow race rules.
  • Runners must deposit all of their race equipments to the organizers before the race.  Runners can access their gears in designated points of the course which will be announced during the race briefing.
  • Runners must pass through all the check points of race organizers.
  • Night equipment should be worn in specific locations or time as mandated by the race organizers.
  • Runners should follow the marked course.  Failure to follow the marked course may result to penalties or disqualification.
  • Cut-off times will be designated by the race organizers throughout the race course for safety reasons.
  • Runners are forbidden to alter any directional signs, markings, or kilometer post found throughout the race course.
